this is the club area, which triggered the start of my project, i was looking into the disco and lights when i came across another part of the show that was more relevant to my ideas of work. i loved the feel of this room, and it makes you realise why so many people followed the movement at the time.
of course ID magazine would be involved, with this amazing front cover, i love the style of this, and it has come through in many of my samples from this project.
this is the iconic picture from the exhibition...that image that features on the book and is a huge part of the Memphis exhibition. its really iconic because of the colours and shapes...they are very typical of this era and this movement.
just a few images from the exhibition that inspired the starting point for my work, this is photography of grace jones , i think these are really inspiring images, something that will come back into my project during the photography stages.So im currently working on my project about postmodernism and this is where im at :)
