Today i got an email from MMU about uploading some images for my portfolio, so off i am to open a new blog to submit them.

the criteria is 10-12 images along with a bit of writing to explain the images and why i want to do the course

Final Major Project!

So the time has come for me to write my final project brief. I have been advised to continue with a similar theme to that im doing now. I started with photography of lights which i took in the direction of threads. now im going to go down the route of lights, and light potential, so i can experiment with light photography, and see where that leads. To start of this idea and to come up with a name for my project im looking at songs about light and with light in the name or lyrics. i have found 2 that have caught my eye, and i could research print screens of these, and take my project further :)

My Definition of Postmodernism

The Postmodern period of 1970-1990 is a period of change, progression and rebellion. I view this time as an art movement that dominoed, ending up affecting every aspect of our culture and society. From architecture to fashion, people were striking out against what was ‘normal’ and what was expected of them. This time, allowed for people to express themselves, with this we got different groups of people and individuality. The period of postmodernism enabled many recognizable artists, in music, painting, interiors etc… to become part of society and form the shape of our culture as it is today.

UCAS IS SENT

as much as i dont even want to go to university in England, today i sent my UCAS off, applied for : university of the arts London, University of Edinburgh, Westminster, Birmingham city, Manchester Met. I wouldn't complain if i got in at my first 3 however i really really want to go abroad! My back up plan, if i fail, is to go to uni here, then move abroadto inter, to work and TO LIVEEEEEEE! the thought of it makes me smile...big time!
