REsearch from the sketchbook, i loved this leather collar...its all about the leather this season and i wanted to keep my collars up with the fashions whilst also being inspired by victorian collars. |
This is a page i created with biro line drawings on, i love the negative spaces that are created rather than the actual lines made. |
Looking at victorian collars was vital as they are so iconic and all coming back into fashion, i love how exaggerated the collars are. Knowledge if this era is vital with wanting to proceed to costume design. |
I love to google basic words related to what im doing to find other students work, i feel like its some of the best inspiration you can find. |
these are 3 of my samples, i stayed with a colour scheme that represents me, and used photos such as the church from my village to build up these collars and then stitched into them. |
I then photographed the collars on a model and edited my work in photoshop, and presented them on card, i loved the outcomes. |
This is one of my favorite, i really like photos when they are put into black and white :) |
Here i changed the opacity of the images in ascending order, i feel this worked really well and i think i cropped a perfect section of the photograph, i also adjusted the brightness which i think brings out the colours amazingly. |
This was my final collar, i really liked the way it came out, i used lace, stitch and paper and i feel it came out better than i imagined. |
This project was about experimenting with stitch, into different materials, i chose to be inspired by a childhood toy that had a colar on and so i created a set of sample collars. i worked with stitch, paper and materials then photocopying with different colours and contrasts to experiment with the way things looked.
